My roof leaks. Does that mean I need it replaced?
Possibly, but not necessarily. Leaking can be caused by a variety of issues: flashing may have come loose, or just a section of the roof is damaged. A roof failure is generally irreversible and results from either improper installation, improper choice of materials, or defective materials.
How long should my current roof last?
The life span of your roof will depend mostly on the type of roof that was installed, the effects of the environment and the maintenance, which the roof has received.
Do I have to be at home for the estimate?
No. Since everything we need to know is on the outside of your home, you don't need to worry about taking time off from work or trying to fit us into your schedule.
Do I have to be at home during the work?
No. All the work we will be doing is outside. In some instances, we may require access to an electrical outlet. As long as one is provided outside, we will never need to have access inside your home.

How do I know whether my roof has a problem or needs to be replaced?
Roofing problems are usually discovered after minor leaking or some damage occurs. Periodic inspections can uncover damaged or missing shingles, loose seams and deteriorated flashings, excessive surface granules in gutters or downspouts and other visible signs of roof problems. If your roof is damaged look for discolored plasterboard and peeling wallpaper as signs.
Can’t I just do the work myself?
You should not do most of the work. Professional roofers are trained to efficiently and safely replace a roof. Novices can harm a roof with improper roofing techniques and severely injure themselves by falling off or even through a roof in need of repair or replacement.
If I need a new roof, how much will it cost?
The price of a new roof varies widely depending on the material selected, the contractor doing the work, the area of the country, local labor rates, time of year and more. To get an idea of the cost of a roof get three or four estimates from reputable contractors in the area. Keep in mind cost is only one factor and must be balanced against quality of materials and workmanship. Pick a contractor who is committed to quality work.
How long does it take once the work begins?
Assuming good weather most roofing jobs take 1 to 2 days.
What type of guarantee does the work come with?
In addition to the manufacturer's warranties on materials used, all of our work comes with a 10-year labor warranty. Manufacturer warranties can be found at these web sites: CertainTeed, Elk, Owens Corning, GAF, and Tamko.
Do I need to worry about nails in my lawn?
We take great pride in the work we perform. This includes the end-of-work clean up. We remove all trash, clear out the gutters and use magnets to pick up any nails that may have fallen to the ground.
